Sanctuary Specialise in Unique Wet Rooms

Daniel Hyde from Sanctuary Bathrooms comments “Many clients are removing their baths completely and replacing them with large walk in showers.

Wet rooms are a great way of providing level access showering, they can make a room feel bigger by allowing the shower area to feel part of the complete room with either no definition between the floor area and the wet area.  Or you can create a feature by utilising mosaics in the wet area alone to clearly define the wet area from the rest of the room.”

We were really excited to shoot a recent project in Ickenham for our new case studies.  The room originally included just a basin and toilet, by incorporating a wet room system from On The Level we were able to fulfill the client’s wish for an additional shower within the house – specifically for their guests allowing them to have their own bathroom.

The toilet was re-positioned to allow for the shower area; a wall hung pan was incorporated to keep the wet area floor clear, easy to clean and provide a feeling of space.

We positioned the wetroom former adjacent to the basin in the area with the most head height, we specified a shower kit from Hansgrohe which enables the shower head to be tilted and directed easily to maximise the showering experience.

The wet area was finished with marble mosaic tiles to add an element of interest and clearly illustrate where the wet area began and finished.  A neat vanity unit and basin from Bauhaus fitted perfectly between the wet room panel and the door.

Combined with polished porcelain tiles to enhance the light from the velux roof window and a complimentary mosaic the finished room was transformed from the cloakroom this once was. The heated towel rail in a brown quartz finish from Zehnder enabled us to fully coordinate the room’s colour scheme.

On The Level have been specialising in wet room systems for over 30 years, they are the only UK manufacturer to produce bespoke wet room solutions in any shape or size.
